program overview

Management Essentials is a training program designed for Team Leaders, Middle Managers and anyone who has a supervisory role with direct staff.  It is aimed at equipping participants with management skills and tools to improve their organisational effectiveness.

Management Essentials starts with examining the role of the manager in the workplace and the management skills needed. Participants will be encouraged to diagnose their competencies and skills Working Togetherand prepare a development program for themselves in partnership with their managers and teams if possible.   A series of workshops focusing on practical management skills will be provided to the participants. At each stage, participants are invited to analyse specific management challenges and issues to improve their organisational effectiveness. 

Program Methodology

This Management Essentials program comprises of a series of one or two-day workshops to minimise the disruption to the day-to-day work.  Each workshop will focus on learning as a process, utilising real business issues and day-to-day scenarios and experiences within the group. Workshops are specifically designed to accommodate a variety of learning styles.

Action learning is a central part of the learning process. At each session, participants will be encouraged to set their work-based goals and activities to practice and improve their management skills.

Program Timelines

Management Essentials program modules may be run once a week, once a fortnight or once a month depending on the urgency and need of your company and the number of modules you choose in the initiative.
